As 2017 comes to a close, we would like to thank you all for your support throughout the year and take this opportunity to let you know that AASECT Membership is due for renewal. Please be aware that all 2017 annual memberships expire on December 31, 2017. If you have not already done so, renew today!
Renewal Instructions
Renewal is so easy and only a few clicks away! Please log-in to your membership account with your username and password. This option is located at the top of the AASECT homepage - www.aasect.org.
To renew, simply click ‘My Account’ and then select 'Renew AASECT Membership'. We also encourage you to update your contact information by clicking ‘AASECT Profile’. AASECT Certified members should also take this opportunity to update their ‘Directory Profile’ as well.

New Membership Category this year: Early Career Professional
New this year is an additional membership category – Early Career Professional. Early Career Professional Membership is limited to a maximum of three (3) years post-graduation from full time student status in undergraduate or graduate training at a recognized and accredited educational institution. If you have graduated from full time student status within in the past three (3) years, meet the criteria below and wish to change your membership status, please email info@aasect.org for instructions. The price for Early Career Professional AASECT membership is $160
Early Career Professional Members are those individuals whose academic and/or professional credentials make them eligible to pursue AASECT certification in accordance with the procedures and criteria adopted by the Board of Directors. Early Career Professional Members in good standing are eligible to vote in elections and on other matters properly placed before the membership for a vote, and to serve on most committees and other functional bodies. Please note: Early Career Professional Members must upgrade to Professional Membership upon submission of any AASECT Certification Application. AASECT reserves the right to randomly audit individuals registering for Early Career Professional Member status to verify eligibility. Individuals not meeting the criteria for Early Career Professional Membership status will either need to change membership types as appropriate and pay the difference in fees or have their membership with AASECT ended.
Give back to the AASECT Scholarship Fund!
Also, when you renew your membership, don't miss out on the opportunity to give back by contributing to AASECT’s Creating Community Scholarship Fund! In an effort to create a more inclusive community, AASECT established this scholarship fund to aid in obstacles that may prohibit an individual from attending its annual conference and institutes. By contributing to the fund, you will help create an opportunity for a student or young professional to attend a future conference or institute.
New Address for the AASECT Office!
In order to streamline the services we provide to the AASECT community, effective January 1, 2018, our AASECT headquarters address will be 35 E. Wacker Dr., Suite 850, Chicago, IL 60601. Same phone, same email, same faces!
AASECT is governed by the Board of Directors and contracts with the professional management company Bostrom to provide all the administrative services and functions necessary for a 2,000+ member non-profit membership organization. The AASECT Board recently decided to have the AASECT address be the same as our administrative offices, rather than retaining the Washington, D.C. mailing address. For those of you not familiar with the AASECT Board of Directors please visit the Leadership page of the website. Your AASECT staff can be found on the Contact page of the site as well.
The AASECT community is devoted to the promotion of sexual health by the development and advancement of the fields of sexual therapy, counseling, and education. Through education, events, communications and certification AASECT is able to advance the highest standards of professional practice for educators, counselors and therapists through the continued support of our members and stakeholders.
