Mentoring Committee Update
“Mentoring is a brain to pick, an ear to listen, and a push in the right direction.” -John C. Crosby
The mentoring program committee, which falls under AASECT’s Outreach Committee efforts, has been reviewing results from the annual survey, and we are encouraged by your feedback. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts with us! It is clear there is a demand for mentorship opportunities within AASECT.
As we continue to revitalize this program, our committee will be looking for members interested in becoming mentors. Why become a mentor? Mentorship is an opportunity to give back to the field, help foster professional community, and take an active role in the professional development of fellow members who will be future leaders, not only in AASECT but also in the field of sexology. If you are interested in becoming a mentor, please contact Becky Anthony at becky@beckyanthony.com. Look for continued updates in the AASECT newsletter, website, and Facebook page.
