Update from Alaska!
It is an active time in Alaska this spring. AASECT members Susan LaGrande PhD, Chris Reynolds PsyD, and Kelvin Pace MS, will be offering a workshop entitled Untangling the Controversies Surrounding Sexual Addiction at the Couples Center's annual meeting. We are also coordinating with this group to provide brown bag lunch meetings on topics of interest in the area of fostering sex positive relationships in couples. They are a group of marriage and family therapists who are looking to forge a working relationship with AASECT certified therapists to offer consultation and education in the area of sex and relationships. This is a great out reach opportunity for us and we are delighted.
Chris Reynolds PsyD will be offering a basic information session for parents of middle school kids on How To Talks to Teens about Sex in March. Kelvin Pace MS, who is very close to completing requirements to be Certified Sex Therapist, will be offering a workshop entitled SEX 101 for Couples. His goal is to offer basic sex positive information to couples. Susan LaGrande PhD will be offering a workshop entitled Sex and So Much More for Women over 50. She just became Alaska's first AASECT Certified Supervisor.
