Bruce Friedin, Ph.D. announces his new book Easy Marriage, now available on amazon.com in paperback and Kindle formats. Dr. Friedin is a Long Island psychologist who has had a specialized private practice in marriage and sexuality for over 30 years. 

Member Laurie Mintz, Ph.D., has published her second book: Becoming Cliterate—Why Orgasm Equality Matters and How to Get It (HarperOne, an imprint of Harper Collins, 2017).  The book is a combination of cultural analysis and prescriptive self-help aimed at closing the orgasm gap and empowering young adult women to orgasm. Steeped in academic theory and psychological science, it’s written in a fun, accessible format for a lay audience.

Wendy Maltz's groundbreaking recovery classic, Incest & Sexuality: A Guide to Understanding & Healing (Lexington Books, 1987), is now available for FREE download through the International Psychotherapy Institute's free psychotherapy books program. Coauthored with Beverly Holman, it was the first book to devote itself entirely to the sexual repercussions of sexual abuse.

We are pleased to introduce the Southwest Sexual Health Alliance based in Austin, Texas. Heather M McPherson LPC-S, LMFT and the Texas Section Leader for AASECT and Dylan Davies LMFTA launched the organization this past summer in efforts to provide provocative dialog and radical collaboration around sexual health issues. Our mission is to provide educational opportunities in sexual health to students, psychologists, physicians, social workers, educators,  therapists and sexual health professionals.

Designer Relationships: A Guide to Happy Monogamy, Positive Polyamory, and Optimisitic Opern Relationships by Mark A. Michales and Patricia Johnson has just won an Independent Publishing (IPPY) gold medal in Sexuality/Relationships. The IPPYs were established in 1996 and are among the longest running and most competitive awards for independent published books in the U.S. and Canada, attracting over 6,000 entries last year. This is Mark and Patricia’s third book in a row to receive this honor.

Advocates for Youth recently introduced new tools to complement its Rights, Respect, Responsibility (3Rs) comprehensive sexuality education curriculum.

Kristin Lilla recently obtained her AASECT CSE certification, making her the only certified sex therapist and certified sexuality educator in Nebraska. Her supervisor was Konnie McCaffree.
