Welcome to the new online, interactive version of Contemporary Sexuality! As you may already know, AASECT decided to change the format of the Contemporary Sexuality newsletter after discovering that only a small percentage of our membership was reading the former version. The purpose of the new Contemporary Sexuality online newsletter is to connect members to dynamic, timely news, ideas and information that is relevant to AASECT and the sexuality community.
As we come together June 8-12, 2016 in San Juan, Puerto Rico for AASECT's 48th Annual Conference, we will examine the theme "Putting the Pieces Together: Inclusivity in Practice" as a means to increase the richness of the diverse identities and experiences within our field and AASECT. We hope you will be a part of the conference that features sessions exploring the ways in which we can work, with an eye towards expanding our understanding of the importance and significance of practicing inclusivity and impact-awareness, in the field of sexuality.
AASECT recently created the Creating Community Scholarship Fund which was developed with the goal of building a more inclusive environment for promoting sexual health and advancing the field of sexuality.
While visiting Puerto Rico for the AASECT 48th Annual Conference, make the most of your trip and take a tour of the island!
