The Board approved a Position Statement on the topic of Sex/Porn Addiction and we are currently formulating our strategy to continue to release this statement to the media. Additionally, we launched a dedicated press listserv which currently includes nearly 100 AASECT members and makes them available for press inquiries from approximately 500 members of the Media.
AASECT is committed to providing training and educational programs that enhance our members’ skills and knowledge. These educational programs provide both the opportunity for professional development and for earning AASECT Approved CE credits. AASECT CE credits may be applied toward earning or maintaining AASECT Certification.
As a part of the restructuring of the functions of the Communications Steering Committee, the Board of Directors approved a specific Listserv Moderation Committee. This committee will have the shared responsibility of moderating the listserv so that one person no longer has to single-handedly moderate our very active list.

A significant part of those efforts were focused on revitalizing and enhancing AASECT’s mentoring program. The mentoring program is designed to help support members through various stages of their professional development.
